Here are just a few recipes that you may enjoy with Lemon essential oil.
Lemon Buttercream
Cream one stick of butter in an electric mixer for 1–2 minutes until fluffy. Slowly add 3 cups powdered sugar, ½ cup at a time, until mixture is smooth. Add 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 2 drops Lemon oil and mix until combined. Add 1 tablespoon heavy cream and mix at medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes. Pairs perfectly with cupcakes or cookies.
Fruit and Veggie Cleanser
Lemon Cookies
Preheat oven to 350° F. In a large bowl, cream 1 cup cold butter and 2 cups sugar for 4 minutes until light and fluffy. Add 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice, and 1–2 drops certified pure Lemon oil. Stir to combine. Stir in 3 cups flour, 1¼ teaspoons baking powder, ¼ teaspoon baking soda, and ½ teaspoon salt. Mix until just combined. Drop dough onto parchment paper covered baking sheet. Bake for 9–11 minutes. Allow to cool. Sprinkle with sugar or frost with Lemon Buttercream. (above)
Liquid Dishwasher Soap
In a large bowl, combine ½ ounce Castile soap, 3 ¼ cups purified water, 4 ounces white vinegar, 1 ounce citric acid powder, 1 cup kosher salt, and 30 drops certified pure Lemon oil. Stir until well blended. Pour into a glass soap dispenser. To use, add about 2 tablespoons per load of dishes. Store mixture in the refrigerator to prevent fermentation.
