I don’t know about you but I love to sit in a warm bath! I remember when I was a little girl having fun making funny shapes on my head with the bubbles, the more bubbles the better!  Now that I’m older and more educated on what effects synthetic products can have on my health, I’m have to say, those bubble baths from the past are over!

Here is a recipe for bath fizzies that will be a favorite for the special friends or ladies in your life! They make great stocking stuffers and will be a hit!!

Bath salts are an incredible way to moisture, exfoliate, supplement magnesium, AND relax! These fuzzy Peppermint bath salts also give the added bonus of a fun fizzle, similar to popular bath bombs.


3 cups epsom salts

2 cups baking soda

1 cup citric acid

15 drops of peppermint essential oil

1/2 tsp of red food coloring (optional)



In a dry bowl, combine the salts, essential oil, and food coloring until thoroughly combined.Then add baking soda and citric acid until completely mixed together. Divide into airtight containers into however many servings you would like. (Usually makes 3-4)

**Be sure to store these in a DRY environment or the fuzzier will deactivate.


To Use:

Pour desired amount into warm bath and Relax!

Note: You can prepare these like bath bombs if you have molds. If you do not care for the fizzle, then omit the citric acid and just simply mix everything together!
